There are just two more weeks to take your exams before the Summer. If you have achieved 80% in the GMetrix online practice tests, why not book your exam place here:
Are you a Level 6 CCi student? Have you signed up to the GMetrix online training for Adobe and/or Autodesk certification?
If so there’s still time to take an exam before the end of the Summer. We will be running exams up until mid-June so make sure you book your place via our Eventbrite page. Remember that you need to achieve 80% in the practice tests before you can take the final exam.
Still don’t know what this is about? Email us here or drop in to Eldon 2.32 for more details.
Using Adobe Flash for your projects? You’ll be interested to learn that the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Update sees Flash renamed as Animate CC. Not only that but it has a raft of new tools and innovations. My personal favourite is the ‘scaling proportional to stage’ but don’t take my word for it – you can find out more about the changes here.
We’ve got another fantastic behind the scenes video from Michael Coleman at SoundWorks Collection, and this time it’s an in-depth look at the sound design for Pixar’s return to the Monsters, Inc. universe, Monsters University. If you’ve never thought about what goes into creating sound for an animation, there is a terrific breakdown of a scene from the film. Click through to check it out:
Interested in knowing more about Sound Design using Pro Tools or other software such as Adobe Audition? Why not come and see us in 2.32 or contact us here.
Here you will find a wide range of international film vacancies with details of experience and skills required for each role.
Many of these roles ask for a knowledge of Avid, Premiere Pro and other related software. Need a refresher? Need to enhance your skills? Why not book a tutorial with Creative Skills. It’s as simple as emailing us here.
It’s good to be picky! Next week’s Creative Skills’ After Effects workshop looks at Masks, Mattes & Adjustment Layers and why they can be essential and creative tools in your compositions. This is open to all CCi students regardless of course and level – you can sign up here.
